Lightroom Classic Release 13.0.2 Virtual Copies in Collection Set
Possible bug. LrC Release 13.0.2.
I am working on a photograph in a Collection Set. Running Windows 10 Pro. Up to date with releases.
First, the Stack tool appears to be missing under Photo. I cannot see it on the main horizontal menu bar, nor in the context (right click) menu when I select a photo either in the Library grid or thumbnail view, nor in the Development window, when I am working with the photo in a Collection Set. I see it in the Collection and in the Folder in the Library.
Second, when I create a virtual copy, it does not appear as a thumbnail in the Collection Set. I am not stacking photographs. In fact, I do not see the Stack command, nor does the photograph indicate it is stacked in the upper left. When I go to Photoshop to edit the photo, I know that the virtual copy is created because the file name shows it is a virtual copy, and if I create another virtual copy and edit in Photoshop it shows a "-2" in the file name indicating it is the second of two virtual copies.
I just tested this. I found that the only way for me to see a newly created virtual copy using LrC 13.0.2 is to go to it's Library Folder. Virtual copies I created before LrC 13.0.2 appear in the Collection Set and in other Collections. They have the "dogear" in the lower left.
It appears to be a bug. Why do I see some virtual copies in a Collection Set, which I created using earlier releases of LrC (before 13.0.2), but not newly created virtual copies?
