Question

Lightroom Classic secondary display resets position on focus loss

Hello,

I'm running Lightroom Classic CC on my Windows machine with 2 monitors. Every time I click away from Lightroom, whether it be to the desktop, a browser, Spotify, etc., the secondary viewer pops back up centered on my main monitor when I click back to Lightroom. Only the position resets, not the size. Thus, I have to drag the secondary viewer back to my secondary monitor every time I click back into Lightroom. This has only happened to me on Windows; Lightroom on MacOS Sierra doesn't do this.

I'm using Lightroom Classic version 8.2.1. My Windows 10 version is 10.0.17763. My secondary monitor is set in Windows to be 90deg vertical (portrait mode). When editing photos, I have the main window maximized on my main monitor, and the secondary viewer on my second monitor, but not maximized. If you need any other information let me know.

Thank you,

Jordan

    Hi Jordan,

That does sound like a frustrating experience, let's make it right.

As Lightroom Classic's window keeps opening up automatically when you click on another app, could you please try updating Lightroom to version 8.3.1 via the Creative Cloud Desktop app and see if it helps?

    Regards,
    Sahil

I updated to 8.3.1 and the problem still persists. I've restarted my computer and Lightroom a few times as well. The behavior of the issue is the same.
