Question

Lightroom Classic stops soon after launch

LR launches and appears to be fine but after editing an image in the develop mode and returning to the library mode I get the spinning circle  that will not stop and I can do nothing with LR. Only solution is to "X" out and relaunch when it will happen all over again.

I have gone into preferences and turned off the Auto feature for "Use Graphics Processor". Results are the same.

Any thoughts?

During this spinning cursor cycle, Task Manager shows almost no memory or CPU and LR is usuing 38% of the CPU and almost all the memory. I don't know if this relavent. If I close LR and reopen and check Task Manager, it's using a reasonable amount of CPU, (less than 5%) and memory is 3,300 MB and climbing slowly whereas it was over 17,000 MB when the spinning cursor is happening.

Try updating your graphics driver by going directly to the manufacturer's web site:

If that doesn't help, please copy/paste here the entire contents of the LR menu command Help > System Info -- that will let us see exactly which versions of hardware and software LR thinks you're running.
