Question

Lightroom Classic suddenly is unable to send photo files to trash on mac

I have been reviewing my extensive library on Lightroom Classic (v 13.1) and have been deleting many photos/files to the trash folder on my mac (Sonoma v 14.2.1) in order to delete them from my hard drive (all files are on the internal hard drive) and free up space on my mac.  This process has been working flawlessly over the last few weeks, but all of a sudden stopped over the last two days.  When I click on "Remove Photo", then "Delete from Disk", I receive this message:

"The file named “______” could not be moved to the Trash folder."

No other messages are provided.  Doesn't matter whether I try to move 10 or 1 photo file.  I've tried shutting down LRC, rebooting computer, nothing helps.  I can successfully send other files on my mac to the trash folder and the trash folder has been empty when I have been having these problems with LRC.

Thanks in advance for your help!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
