Lightroom Classic v13 closes unexpectedly while attempting to sync in Develop module

Since the upgrade to Lightroom Classic v13, I have experienced several instances when trying to synchronise settings or apply the settings from a previous image in the Develop module that the blue circle spins for a few moments and then Lightroom closes. On reopening Lightroom, the image selected is one that I last worked on in version 12, so I have to navigate to the current folder and resume from there; previous edits have not been lost.
I am using Lightroom Classic version: 13.0.1 [ 202310121438-d2af310c ] with Windows 11 - Business Edition Version: 11.0.22621

    And to open LrC again, do you have to (I assume) manually delete the lock file? (I ask for clarity, and for just in case)

     

    A yes answer would be expected, A no answer would bring up, what the heck??

    No, it just opens again as normal, except for the fact it shows one of the images I had open before the upgrade.
