Lightroom Classic (v14.3.1) Spontaneously Rotating Images

When editing images in the Develop module, images will randomly (without being directed to) rotate in the main viewing screen. I am using the most current version of LRC (v14.3.1). On a PC. Please see attached screenshot from 5.12.25 showing what is happening in the Develop module. The image has not been rotated and appears correclty in the Navigator window and the filmstrip view at the bottom. Please see second attachment for my computer specs. Since updating to version 14.3.1 a couple of days ago, this has happened to me at least 10-20 times. The only way I have been able to get the image to return to its proper orientation is to exit LR and reopen it. However, sometimes this is not correct the situation. Any suggesions or help that you can give is much appreciated. I am on a very tight deadline to complete edits of photos for my client who is a graduating senior. In LrC, click on Help, then on System Info, then copy that info, then paste that into a reply .

Please post in a reply your system information as Lightroom Classic reports it. Note that if you attempt to do so via e-mail, then the community interface will strip any attachment out, so please reply directly in this community.

 

In Lightroom Classic, click on Help, then System Info, copy that info, then pasted in as a reply or an attachment in a reply (not via e-mail)

    Hey @Leeandrea, 

    Thank you for sharing a screenshot of your system info. We need to know what version of your GPU driver is. May I ask you to go to Help >System Info while in Lightroom Classic? Copy and paste that into a text file and attach it to your response.

    Hey, @Leeandrea. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. Thanks for adding the screenshots; it helps. I'll move this post to discussions for now and help you figure this out. 

     

    Have you recently updated the OS? Does this happen after you've applied specific edits to the image? 

    As primary steps, try this:

    • Unplug additional displays & use only one by default.
    • Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto. If this shows any differences, please check this article to troubleshoot further: https://adobe.ly/3uYiJo4

    Hi Sameer K:

     

    No, I've been using WIndows 11 for at last eight months now.  I will not be able to use only my laptop and not my external monitors because my lap top is much lower and my external monitors are set at eye level which is ergonomically accurate.  This problem never occurred for me before Versions 14.3.1 and the prior version.  

     

    It is not occurring after applying specific edits.  It happens when moving from one image to another. 

     

    My concern about turning off the GPU is that it will slow everything down.  I will give it a try though.
