Lightroom classic will not load - MAC OS Sequoia

Lightroom will no longer open. I don't recall having to force it to shut down or anything that I saw on other message threads about this issue. I have restarted and completely shut down my computer, uninstalled LC and just now uninstalled ALL Adobe Creative Cloud programs, made sure all the files were deleted, reinstalled, done the preferences reset thing... and still nothing. This is very frustrating.

Ended up wiping my computer and starting over. That fixed it. Lightroom Classic opens just fine now. Sooo... if you can't get it to open up for anything, try wiping your computer and starting over - as much of a pain as that is.

Not sure, however, you would not need to "wipe your computer" if it were only Lightroom not working. DId you ever see if any of your other applications were working normally?

Maybe just uninstalling LR, then clearing the cash, then reinstalling might have worked...

I did that. Mulitiple times. And completely uninstalled Adobe Creative Cloud and reinstalled that and Lightroom. And deleted every Adobe file and extension I could find on my computer. And reinstalled again - still wouldn't work. And tried the reset preferences tip, and every other thing. None of them worked. So I wiped my computer completely and that fixed whatever was so horribly broken that it wouldn't load no matter what.

I had exactly the same problem with a new mac studio. The Lightroom Classic app installer opens a blank box and does nothing. I haven't even attempted to link my old catalog so that isn't the issue. Total pain in the butt.

This sounds like an entirely different issue. 

Has Lightroom Classic ever worked on this new Mac?  Did you transfer all your old apps from the previous machine?  If so, do a completely new install of the Creative Cloud App from the Adobe web site, then do a new install of Lighrroom Classic through the Creative Cloud app.

Something like this happened to me recently. Very similar symptoms. It turned out that I was trying to load a corrupted catalog. I unzipped the most recent backup, renamed the bad catalog, the copied the unzipped backup to the Lightroom Classic folder and it started right up.

You should also try resetting the LrC preferences. Uninstalling LrC does not reset the preferences.

If you read my post.... I said I completely uninstalled the entire thing. Even Adobe Creative Cloud. And I tried resetting the LR preferences after I reinstalled it and that didn't work.

My main point is that the issue could be caused by a corrupt catalog. Did you investigate that?
