Lightroom Classic will not open on my laptop, I can click the LrC icon on my dock on my MacBook Pro and nothing will happen. OR I can click on it and it will get stuck loading trying to open.

Hi, just following up — JohanElzenga’s test is the key one here: holding down Option while you start Lightroom Classic, then trying a brand-new catalog, shows whether the problem is with your usual catalog. If you tried that, did Lightroom open with the new catalog? If it still will not open, it would help to know your Lightroom Classic version and macOS version and exactly what happens when you try. Is this resolved for you now?

If Lightroom Classic does not start, it could be that your catalog is corrupted. Hold down the Option key while you start it. That should give you a dialog where you can choose which catalog to open, or create new catalog. Create a brand new catalog and see if Lightroom starts up with that. If that works, then replace your current catalog by a backup copy.
