Question

Lightroom Classic will not open on my MAC

When I try yo open LrC the splash screen appears for a few seconds but the app doesn't open. I'm using a MAC running Sonoma 14.0. Incidentally Photoshop opens fine and I have checked my Adobe account to make sure that my subscription is still in place.

Any ideas?

Make sure your ~/Pictures folder is available and writable. I was using a removable drive and pointing to it with that folder, and LR and LR Classic were both starting but no windows would open.

I am having the same issue.

I believe the issue was because, somehow, my Mac had deleted my Local Documents folder and the only way I could reinstate it was to rebuild my Mac completely from scratch!

Grrrrrrr!

You can try updating your macOS and make sure you are running the latest version of Lightroom Classic.

Thanks, but both my Mac OS and LrC are up to date.

Any other ideas?
