Lightroom Classic won't import photos

Question

Hi . Please help. After a few years of using Lightroom Classic to edit my photos, since last week I'm not able to import photos from my SSD into LRC. It's not just my SSD - the import button results in the white spinning wheel at the bottom left panel, and it fails to preview files or select them for import no matter what HDD i select. Lightroom Photoshop can access and import from the same SSD. I have tried the reset as suggested by some users with no success.

One odd old bug (sort of, I do not think Adobe sees it as a bug). I notice that you have selected the ADD option. It might be an issue with the last time you selected the COPY option (or Copy as DNG, or dread dread MOVE option), specifically if the destination in that previous import process got moved/renamed/deleted. Now other members are going to state NO DAVID . But it does not hurt to try this. Change your Import Option to Copy. Over in the destination panel, the previous destination state will be shown, is that destination currently correct? You may want to select one photo, select Copy, select a destination, and attempt the import. Watch for any error message. This problem can occur for the ADD option, you would think ADD would not care what a previous COPY destination was, or would give an error, but....
