Lightroom Classic won't load.

Lightroom Classic won't load. I tried uninstall, but it says it can't because it is still open.I open Task Manager, and it does not show as open. How do I close the ghost that is running so I can get it to open?

Windows, latest version Lightroom Classic.

Open Task Manager  [Ctrl+Shift+Esc]  and [Right-Click > End Task] for any listing of Lightroom Classic. That will close LrC out of memory.

The other problem some encounter is a remaining "Lock" file that is left over from a problematic shut-down of the catalog.

See this link re the 'Lock' file- LOCK FILE DELETION - LR-CLASSIC   (***CAUTION- Do NOT Delete the .LRCAT catalog file!)
