Lightroom Classic won't start after update

Updated to Lightroom Classic 11.0.1 on iMac and now Lightroom won't start at all. I have tried restarting computer, uninstalling and reinstalling LR, going back to version 10.4 and it still will not load. When I launch it from the dock or from CC, the icon bounces like it is launching, but then nothing happens. When I click on the icon, it says the program is not responding, and I have to force quit, but there is not a window or splash screen or anything. Help!

Updated to LR Classic 11.3 on W10 Pro 10.0.19043. It crashes on open (which means any fixes/workarounds that require LR are not possible as it never opens). I've reinstalled. I've done a clean update to Nvidia drivers. I've rebooted several times. Same result: crash on open with error report popup. Sometimes the folder/catalog structure appears in the window (I start in Library), sometimes just collections. It's erratic. Never had trouble before LR Classic 11.3.

I have the very same issue with my Windows 10, 11.00 did start but was buggy with the cataologue. Took the upgrade to 11.01. It ran once but after clsoing down the app and comming back to it and attemtping to start it...it no longer runs.  It shows runing as a backgournd task. This is VERY VERY disturbing.  FIX it .. FIX it now !

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue. Please see "Solution 2" in the document behind the second link.

Troubleshoot GPU issues | Lightroom Classic (adobe.com)

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment.

Which operating system do you use?

Which version of Lightroom do you use?

Please post the exact version and not only phrases as "recent", "latest" and so on.

Do you get an error message? If yes, please post the exact message or an screenshot.

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

The same for me with version 11.3.
My 'normal' catalog cannot be loaded anymore. It ends that Lightroom wants to send a error message to Adobe. I have been reseted the user preferences but it makes no differences. Also to disable the GPU did not makes any differences.

The trouble starts after I try to import some files. The process stops during the import and Lightroom crashes. Then it was not able to start with the normal catalog again.

A new empty catalog can be loaded and also the imort looks normal also with the original preferences and GPU support.
