Question

Lightroom Classic won't start, open in Task Manager

Been having this issue since the 18th. Tried every single fix offered in the other threads yesterday, only thing that worked was to uninstall everything manually and then reinstall. Worked last night, didn't turn PC off. Turned on my monitors today, doesn't work again. This is obnixiously terrible. I can open it if I use a different user account, and it seems like deleting the registry file works... but only for a select amount of time. Is this something I'm just gonna have to do over and over?

Hmm, was not thinking of a registry file issue. You might want to post what you found and how to fix, so others can see.

Was actually thinking to direct you to the following:

Account/user rights issue indicated by logging on as other user

See:

Troubleshoot unexpected behavior in specific user account | Adobe

  • For MACOS users the MAS solution #3 has been helpful
  • For Windows, # 4 has been helpful
  • but that is not absolute, so the other solutions may or may not be what is happening.

/follwup/ wonder if solution 6 relates to your instance of this and your fix/

The different user account method works, and deleting the registry file allowed me to open it on my main account. How do I keep the registry file from "corrupting" again, if I can even do that?

What happens if you log onto your computer using a different account, typically the Admin account.
