Question

Lightroom Classic won’t use my Intel Arc 140V GPU

Lightroom Classic won’t use my Intel Arc 140V GPU. System Info always shows Init State: GPU disconnected and GPUDeviceEnabled: false, and there is no “DirectX:” line under Graphics Processor Info at all.

On the same machine with the same driver, Photoshop / Adobe Camera Raw detects the Arc 140V and uses it with no problems. So the driver and Windows seem fine, and the issue appears to be specific to Lightroom Classic.

System

  • Laptop: Intel Core Ultra (Lunar Lake), Intel Arc 140V (16GB shared), 32 GB RAM
  • Windows 11 (26H2)
  • Intel graphics driver: 32.0.101.9150
  • Lightroom Classic 15.6 (ACR 18.7), also tested on 15.4.1 (ACR 18.4) with the same result

What I’ve tried

  • Downgraded LrC from 15.6 to 15.4.1: no change
  • Deleted Camera Raw GPU Config.txt (Lightroom folder) and the TempDisableGPU files
  • Cleared compatibility settings on Lightroom.exe and set it to High performance in Windows Graphics settings
  • Laptop plugged in, Windows power mode set to Best performance

None of these changed the “GPU disconnected” status.

I’ve read in several forum posts with compatibility issues between Lightroom Classic and  Intel Arc 140V GPU. In many cases there are no solutions.

    For example see here:

Do this work in the past? If yes go back to an older version of the appropriate driver.
