I have the exact same issue. It's making it impossible to work

Also, please post a screenshot in LrC develop module, of the image in question, full screen, Oh, and please have the History panel open (for some reason many members just love to have the presets panel loudly displayed, unless a presets issue, not valuable)

important clues can be found in the Navigation, the History, and the Histogram panels.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.

The people that post here can be very helpful but need a lot more to work with!   To start, can you post details about your version and computer?  Your issue is rare, so it may be hard to figure out!
