lightroom desktop app keeps freezing when introducing the new cropping feature

I’ve had to delete the app from my computer because the new crop feature keeps freezing lightroom and I can’t get it to resolve on its own

Please share the system info from Lightroom Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Is this a personal or work (IT-managed) machine? Has this started after recent Lightroom or OS updates? What is the image format of the original files? Does this happen only with the Crop tool?
