Question

Lightroom doesn't see the DNG file I want to import

This morning I changed my billing for Lightroom from monthly to annually, in order to save the 50% price increase for the monthly billing. I asked if everything would remain the same with my account and was told it would. However, I just tried importing a DNG file and LR doesn't see it on my desktop (Mac OS 15.7.1/Sequoia) after downloading from my phone (iPhone 14 Pro/iOS 18.6). I have imported DNG files every day for the last year without issue. Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

I can't attach screenshots because LR simply doesn't see the file. So when I open the import window and try to chose the file to import, the DNG file isn't listed on the left side, they way they usually are. I didn't think changing the billing would effect the software; I thought my software might have been upgraded when I renewed and that might be responsible for the change. Grasping at straws here.

Hi, we're sorry about the trouble!

As Bill mentioned, your billing wouldn't have had an effect on the workflow. Could you tell us where the DNG is saved and if you're able to access the file in Finder? Also, in Lightroom Classic, while importing, is the option to Include Subfolders checked?

Thanks,

Changing the billing will have nothing to do with how the software works.   To figure this out, you'll have to go through the steps from taking the shot to putting the file into the Import dialog.    Can you post screen shots of where it stops working?
