Lightroom --> Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC2019

Since a couple of days I can't edit my images in Photoshop when using the following method in Lightroom:

  • Right click on image in Lightroom
  • Select Edit > Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC2019

Photoshop starts up, but the image isn't opened.

I already have turned off the home screen in Photoshop and did the test starting Photoshop before Lightroom... but both methods doesn't seem to fix my problem.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

i had the same Problem on my MAC, it seems to be a Problem in ACR. After reinstalling the previous Version of ACR it works with the new Versions of LR Classic and PS.

Thank you Arnd!

By going back to the previous version of Camera Raw, everything works again.

If using using Carbon Cloner, SuperDuper! or Time Machine, then this link may offer help-

Restart your Mac. Open PS and place a check mark on the General tab of the PS Preferences "Disable the Home Screen".

Test!

No harm in testing, but like I said: that was a different (Windows only) problem, where the image did get opened in Photoshop, but all kinds of options (like adding a layer) would be disabled.

The work around you tried was for a different Windows only bug (that has been fixed). This creeps up from time to time, and nobody really seems to know why. Try reinstalling Photoshop and/or Lightroom. That seems to work sometimes.
