Lightroom => edit to photoshop

Hello,

In LrC when I try to press the button Edit in Adobe Photoshop, it doesn't work at all.

I went to the External settings and saw that photoshop 2026 is set as editor so it's ok. The main problem is that the button isn't greyed out, but clicking on it won't open PS, and don't do anything at all.

Lightroom classic version: 15.1

Photoshop version: 27.2

I tried to uninstall and reinstall them, or even following similar discussion here, but it still doesn't work.

Could I ask if anyone of you faced the problem with the latest version? And give me a sggestion on how to fix it?

Thanks

Starting photoshop before still doesn't do anything

I work with my catalog in my ssd and I tried to plug the other disk where the original file are stored but it still doesn't do anything

You wrote in your first post that you have reinstalled both applications. Do you've done a clean reinstallation and do you install Photoshop first?

If no, the try a clean reinstallation by following the steps below:

If you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4)

here: Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve this problem, is missing or damaged

Hi @daniele_5628! Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the community! Here are a couple of things you can try to fix this:

1) Give Full disk access to both applications: Please use the steps mentioned in this thread for both applications. How to give Full Disk Access to Li... - Adobe Product Community - 12913413

2) Try resetting the preferences for both applications: Please use the manual method mentioned in these helpx articles:

How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences

Reset preferences

To have a backup of these preferences, you can move them to a safe location on your system.

Thanks a bunch!

What happenend if you start Photoshop before yoiu try to send a image from Lightroom to Photoshop?

Do you work with Smart Previews? If yes, then make sure that the original RAW file is availabe during you try to edit in Photoshop.
