lightroom files

Question

Help! I had a harddrive crash where my image source files were located for lightroom. I have been unable to get that drive working again so I have uploaded the images again from their sd cards into a new drive but lightroom wont recognize the files on their new drive or let me export and of the edits I've done so far...is there anything I can do or do I just need to start over with all of my image edits?

How were the images on the failed hard drive organised during the first import? Perhaps show us a screenshot of the Folders Panel from the catalog?

If you were able to upload the images from the SD cards into the same folder structure on the replacement drive, then it should be easy to connect Lightroom to those images, thus not losing any of the editing work that you did. So perhaps show us also a Finder screenshot of the folder structure of the re-uploaded images. We might then be able to help you figure this out.
