Lightroom for raw pictures from canon 5D mark iv

I just bought a canon 5D mark iv and found that my lightroom classic can't read the raw files. DO i have to use lightroom cc or can i continue to use lightroom classic to process my files?

    Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC do support raw files from the Canon 5D Mark IV. However, I'd suggest you take a look at this article Working with Canon Dual Pixel raw CR2 files in Camera Raw and Lightroom

    Which exact version of Lightroom Classic CC are you using and are you getting any error message while importing raw files from this camera?

    That is a curious question because ANY version of Lightroom Classic should be able to read the raw files from your camera as long as they are not dual pixel. It isn't a question of Lightroom CC or Lightroom Classic CC, because if both versions are up to date they support the same entire group of cameras.
