Lightroom freezes after startup (v12.01)

To me it's definitely an Adobe error and it even says so in the crash report, it also states that the solution of updating once gpu-driver is a temporary one, so Adobe solve this issue please!!!. It's been bugging me from the moment that you guys decided to use the gpu in LRC up to a point now, in version 12.01, that it's completely not functioning. I need this programm for my job/work so it's no small issue in my book!

Well, starting LRC up as Admin sometimes does the trick but in 70% of the cases it still crashes. Adobe has taken all my log files and system info and they will come back to me. I'll keep you guys posted.

The odd thing is, that after 3 sessions with an Adobe empoyee, it still was not solved.

I then checked which programs started up together with windows 11 and two Adobe services did not startup.

The problem then still was present but I could work in the Develop mode for some time, but crashes still did occur.

Then I tried to not start LRC up through Adobe CC but through the Start Menu LRC icon and start up as an Administrator.

Tried it several times now and went back to startup through Adobe CC but for me starting up as an Admin is the solution.

Try to optimze catalog option. This is maybe a catalog issue.

On your computer, you should have a NVIDIA app called GeForce Experience, use it to update the driver, makes sure that app is up to date first.

Uninstalled LRC through the Creative Cloud Desktop (CCD), inlcuding all settings. Restarted my pc, re-installed LRC through CCD. Started LRC with ALT pressed and chose a new library which resides om my internal SSD drive. (my Nvidia driver is the most recent version of the Studio Driver). Programm freezes some seconds into startup, same error message saying: "Adobe has found a (temporary) solution for the recent fault in Adobe lightroom Classic. Click on the link below for more information".

The link directs me to an Adobe website with the header "Lightroom Classic crashes in Windows" where it suggests me to update the driver of my graphics card (clean install & disable the use of the graphics card in performance tab in LRC). Did that numerous times to no avail.....

Please download the latest version of the NVidia Studio driver for your graphic card. Its 'version 522.30 from 18.10.2022.

Install the driver and check.

I have been fighting for the last couple of weeks with this problem. LRc no longer works on my Mac Pro (late 2013). LRc goes into a non-responsive mode with a spinning wheel.

I have tried everything. I have raised the issue on the Adobe Community Forum and followed the various suggestions. I have gone as far as completely reformating and reinstalling my MacOS. Additionally it appears that Apple no longer support the Mac Pro (late 2013) after Big Sur 11.7 although updates to Monterey 12.x were allowed. I have even gone back to LRc 11.5 without success.

My only current option is to use my MacBook Pro for my photography work.

The question is whether Adobe is to continue supporting the many Mac Pro (late 2013) in future.
