I have LR classic 2020 on my Macbook, since Apple's update of Launchpad yesterday LR freezes every time I try to import to my external SD harddrive. Until yesterday, it has been working perfectly for years now.... Any solutions?

Sorry, Mac OS is 10.15.2, Lightroom Classic is 7.5?

You should be able to upgrade to Lightroom Classic 9.1 (for free, if you are subscribed to Lightroom Classic 7.5). Please try that and see if the problem goes away.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about Lightroom freezing on import, could you please let us know the operating system and the exact version of Lightroom you're working with? You can check the version by going to Help > System Info

Have you tried turning off the GPU option from Lightroom's preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

You may also try unplugging all external devices from the computer such as; mouse or external storage drives and then try importing images into Lightroom.

Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Sahil

I am having the same problem since yesterday. I am unable to import to my Mac. My Lightroom version is 10.15.2

10.15.2 might be the version number of your operating system, but it is not the version number of your Lightroom. Please clarify both the version number of your operating system, and the version number of Lightroom.
