Lightroom immediately quits

Lightroom won't open on my Mac. I recently updated it, and now the opening LR screen will pop up briefly than immediately close. I've tried signing in and out of CC several times. Any other ideas?

    Please reset the Lightroom preferences back to default, refer: Preference file and other file locations | Lightroom CC and 6

    If the above solution doesn't help, then reinstall the application from the creative cloud desktop app.
