Lightroom is not putting denoised dng next to original in the develop module unless i re-start

I "denoise" my NEF file and no DNG appears next to my original. I use explorer to see that is indeed in the original folder. The only way I can get it into lightroom is a re-start or tyo import it!

As soon as the time bar shows the process is don, my ap "hickups" and says...no photo selected.

Hey, @georget60887684. Welcome to the Lightroom Classic community. I'll help you figure this out.

What version of Lightroom & Windows are you working on? Where are the original images stored? Internal or external drive? Do you see a change in the number of All Photos?

 

If you're in a Smart collection, try creating a new collection with just a few NEF images to see the stacked enhanced DNG image & ensure Create Stack is checked when you use Denoise.

No Luck. I still have to restart Lightroom to see the DNG. I also can't see any of my images in my library module when importing. I also have to restart to see them.
