Lightroom is slow

Hi All,

Not a very inspiring post, but hopefully you'll be able to help nonetheless. Lightroom is running very slow while only clicking through photo's and selecting/removing them and I'm not sure what to do. It takes half a minute to simply view the next image in a folder of 20 images.... I'm using a Dell precision 5480 laptop with additional A1000 6GB graphics card. I'm aware it's not a powerhouse, but a total library between 10k-15k pictures should not be an issue to only navigate right? I've read some posts, so here's what I've done:

Checked processor and memory. Processor 13th gen i7-13800H is on 10%, memory 60% used out of 32 gb.
Checked disk space. OS partition has 1/3 left, data partition with all images could be better with 60gb of 470 available.
Optimized the catalog
Checked preview sizes. Set them to 1024 and quality medium.

What else is there to check or do?

"Clicking through photos" I assume you are talking about Lightroom Classic, not Lightroom. Also, I assume you mean in the Develop Module and not in the Library Module. Could you please confirm? Could you please give us the version NUMBER of Lightroom Classic (and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date")?
