Lightroom Keyboard shortcut 'L' no longer working

Hello all. I am working on a project using the most up-to-date version of Lightroom (v.8.1) and all of a sudden the L keyboard shortcut for 'Lights Out' mode is no longer working. It was working fine earlier today, so I don't think it has anything to do with the version I am using. I have reset the preferences, but still the same.    Could very possibly be that I am overlooking something really simple, but I am going mad here trying to work this out.

Have you tried re-booting your computer?

Hi Hal. I haven't rebooted it, no - didn't think it would be necessary. It's weird, I was using the keyboard shortcut 'L' throughout my project, I left it for an hour, came back and it wasn't working. Don't know what could've happened.

Rebooting is often a magix elexor to computer problems. It basically flushes out anything in volatile RAM, and causes a re-read of various startup files (in Windows Registry, MAC???)
