Hello,

Running 11.2, on Mac Book pro Big Sir 11.6.4 over 100.000 images backed up on two hard drives.  Everything was good until yesterday.  Restarted Lightroom and it asked me to upgrade catalogue (not sure why it wanted to upgrade) and I hade just backed up catalogue day before.  Anyway.  Relaunched and all of 2022 images maybe 30,000 or so are missing and all

other images are grey screen with question m  I have been trouble shooting this to no good end.  I have found what I think is the original lcrat but when I try to launch it I am asked to use new upgraded lrcat or upgrade the old.  Neither contains my 2022 images. Please help.

Thanks.  Seems the problem is deeper.  My Lightroom Classic desktop icon has gone white and I get  the following error "You can't open the application "Adobe Lightroom Classic" because it is damaged or incomplete.  Ugh.  Sorry.  Need help.

Re-install the software from the Creative Cloud application.

Most likely, you (accidentally?) opened an older catalog, that's why you needed to upgrade. You need to find the current catalog, which indexes all 100,000 images, and open that. (Sometimes the catalog can be found via File->Open Recent)
