Lightroom not displaying my edits after using for over 2 hours

Thank you for the video capture. That makes the issue a lot easier to understand. That also prompts me to see what happens in my own catalog when I hover over the history states. In my case, nothing, because I had this option off:

1) I assume you have that option on, and your other images do show the correct change when you hover over them, not just that they do not go bonkers. Correct?

Taking a virtual copy, takes the original not the edited version.

2)  That virtual copy issue, is it occurring just for the images that have the hover over history problem?

3) If you select one of your images that is misbehaving. And you accept abandon the existing edits. Can you do that, and then try applying your various edits over again? Perhaps hovering over each history state as you move along in your post processing.

Select the image, select the very first history state, perhaps accomplish a /Develop/Clear History/, go ahead and accomplish a /Settings/Clear All Settings/ (or click on the reset button), then start editing and testing till the error appears.

I see you know how to create video captures, so go and run that while you test.

4). Hmmm, wondering if the catalog is a bit corrupt?? You mention 2 hours. Perhaps the images in question behaved prior to those 2 hours passing? Is anything occurring in your computers environment towards the end of those 2 hours? From what system info you did post, this does not sound like a laptop, so probably not a overheating laptop, or a power drain if not connected to the wall. But any overheating of a desktop? Perhaps dust Bunny's around the CPU cooler, etc?
