Question

Lightroom not launching in W11

Lightroom Classic was working fine yesterday and now every time I launch it from any source( shortcut on desktop, creative cloud, or start menu) nothing occurs. There is no window and no errors, but I can see it in Task Manager. I've seen other posts about the metric.json fix however I see this was fixed in previous updates and cannot find it in the given folder: C:\Users\""username"\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches

I would greatly appreciate any guidance you could give me before I start losing money.

With LrC closed, using Windows File Explore, look at the folder the catalog is in, take a screenshot of that.

Example below, with LrC open, showing lock file that should not exist if LrC is closed. This file should have been deleted upon proper LrC closure. But will still exist if LrC crashed, or was force closed.  In theory you should get an error message if this is the case, but ....

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic:   https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:
