Lightroom Numbering

When I download a group of pictures from LR, LR will add (number in sequence) in front of the actual number the pictures came with from the camera. How do you stop this?

 

Original Number 1411

after download from LR  -  001-1411

 

is there a fix?

Im on LR on line Windows 11

Lightroom Classic can rename files on import, using a variety of options. Sounds like you are doing this without even knowing it. Look at the right panel of the import dialog.

When you say you "download a group of pictures," can you be more specific and describe the steps you're taking? Lightroom Classic has a variety of ways to export images. Are you talking about Lightroom Classic? Or perhaps one of the Lightroom ecosystem apps?

 

A screen shot would be quite helpful.
