Lightroom Panorama Merge of TIF Files Adjusts Exposure and Tone Settings

Hi

I have a set of star landscape images that I have processed using Starry Landscape Stacker and want to merge into a Panorama. Prior to sending these images to Starry Landscape Stacker, I adjusted exposure, tonal values, white balance, etc. The issue I am having is that when I do the panorama merge in Lightroom, it seems that LR does another adjustment, which is not what I want to have happen.

Any ideas?

Thanks

David

If using StarryLandscape Stacker to stack your images, then it's best that you apply no settings other than 'Chromatic Aberration' in Lightroom. You should also reduce the Sharpening Amount to '0' Also, make sure that 'Auto Settings' is unchecked in 'Panorama Merge Preview' as shown below.

Shouldn't I also apply Lens Correction in Lightroom? Otherwise I will run into vignetting issues especially since the images were shot with a 14mm lens. I do think minimizing the processing done before taking into Starry Landscape Stacker makes some sense, but I've often read and been told otherwise.

You can apply the lens profile if you wish.

I have only done panoramas with Lightroom or Camera Raw. But my experience has been that it is better to perform the merge prior to doing any work on individual images, and leave any editing and adjustments to be done on the finished panorama.
