Lightroom photo import slow

Very slow import here too. Latest graphics drivers and still no improvement. All started when Adobe rolled out auto Culling and the “new” Lightroom version

I have a very slow import, too. So slow that I usually give up on it (maybe hours). Here is my system info:

What can I do? Lightroom is unusable as is.
