Lightroom Printer Settings Do Not Stick - Why?

When I make selections in Printer Settings (in Printer Options in the Print dialog box) - selecting Media Type or Color Mode, for example - the settings do not stick, that is, after closing and reopening the dialog box, the settings have reverted to defaults. And when I print, some colors are off, suggesting that my settings did not stick after closing the dialog box. BTW I used the appropriate ICC profile and media type for the paper used. I uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom Classic (saving preferences, etc.) and that did not fix the problem. Can someone please help? Thanks, Steve
