Hi @Adolfo_A_G.
Thank you for sharing your full system info; it is very helpful. Let’s try to narrow this down:
1. Test in a new catalog: Create a new empty catalog and import just 3–5 images. Then try HDR and Panorama Merge. This helps confirm whether the crash is catalog-specific.
2. GPU settings: Go to Preferences > Performance and set Use Graphics Processor to Off. Restart Lightroom Classic and test the merge again. If it works, the issue is likely GPU/driver related.
3. Update NVIDIA drivers: The driver showing in your system info is version 560.94. Please update to the latest Studio Driver directly from NVIDIA’s site: https://adobe.ly/4gC0S9U.
4. As Nikunj suggested, try resetting preferences. Corrupted preference files often cause odd crashes. Here’s how: https://adobe.ly/4pxpKDP. Make sure to back up your presets before resetting.
5. Check file location & formats: Are your source images stored locally or on an external/network drive? If possible, copy a test set of images to your system’s C:\ drive (Desktop) and attempt the merge from there. Also, confirm the file formats you’re merging (RAW, TIFF, JPEG, etc.).
If, after trying these steps, the crash persists, could you let us know:
-
Does it happen with any set of images, or only with certain files?
-
Does Lightroom freeze first, or does it close immediately?
-
Could you share 2–3 sample RAW files that reproduce the crash via DM or here?
- If you see a crash dialog, please submit it with the email ID you logged in with on the community so we can track it and have it checked by the product team.
That info would help us escalate this properly to the product team.
Best,
Anshu Saini
