Lightroom Should not Apply profile Correction on import, No Way to Disable
When importing pictures it seems that LR automatically applies profile correction. Technically this is an edit and the choice to apply this edit should be up to the user.
There used to be a way to disable this using a camera specific profile but it appears that eaither the context menus have changed or that the disabling option is no longer available. I am on the latest version of LR Classic on a MAC using Ventura.
The application of profile correction is a terrible option. For people that use Fisheye and Ultra-wide lenses this effectly "corrects" the intended distortion. Whenever I use an art lens I have to go through every picture on import or change my workflow to pre-tag images that I don't want to have this change and then manually undo it on evry single picture.
Maybe I'm missing something here.
