Lightroom Status Change

I have the stand-alone software of Lightroom which although old and now unsupported, is fine for what I need.  Everytime there is an update, specifically with automatic updates, it has changed the status of my Lightroom to one which is now being recognised as a trial version with the option to buy.

This has happened before leaving me to have to dig out a disc and faff-around with gettin it back on my computer, otherwise it is unusable. Are there any settings I can use to avoid this in the future?
