Lightroom unable to stitch large multi-row panorama but able to stitch overlapping sections

Hello,

I'm trying to stitch a large multi-row panorama in Lightroom (6 rows, ~18 photos each row). When selecting all photos to stitch together, Lightroom is unable to stitch any of the photos. However, I'm fully able to stitch photos in rows 1-4, 2-5 and 3-6 separately. If it's possible to stitch these sections separately, why can't I stitch them all together? Is there a limitation on how many rows Lightroom is able to stitch or is there another possible solution to this?

Thanks!

I wonder if you are running into LrC's file-size limits. Specifically, maximum image sizes are 65000 pixels on the long edge, and 512 megapixels in total. With 108 images in your intended pano, you might be OK with the 65000 px long edge limit, but could easily be exceeded the 512 megapixel limit.

Aha! This is probably it then - I wasn't aware of the 512 megapixel limit. I stitched 4 rows together just to check and it came out to 498 megapixels so that must be why it wouldn't add a 5th row. Thanks!

There is no official limitation, but it probably stops somewhere. Which projection are you trying to use? If you use 'Perspective', then the resulting angle-of-view may be too wide for that type of panorama. Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

I'm using spherical projection and unfortunately it doesn't give a specific error message. Just the generic "Unable to merge the photos. Please try a different Projection option." message.
