Lightroom very slow / lagging with Eizo 319X 32" 4k display on MacBook Pro

I have upgraded my display to an EIZO Eizo 319X 4k  32" display on MacBook Pro. 

Lightroom is incredibly slow / lagging for even simple operations. 

 

a) Is it a lightroom problem or does it depends on the hardware. Here the spec of the Macbook pro 2018  i am working with. 

 

b) I have read elsewhere that Lightroom may not geared up to work on 4k displays 32" in size. Shall i return the screen and get a 27"? When Lightroom will be able to support smmothly a 4k environment?

 

I need to work on large files to prepare large prints up to 1.8m wide (file size up to 18,000 pixels), currently struggling eve n with 12,000 pixels wide files. Any insightt would be so much appreciated
