I have updated the firmware on z8.....i have updated to mac os sequoia 15.6.1.......I have lightroom classic 14.5.1......why ...why do I have to take out my sd card to get it to upload from camera. I have never had this problem in 15 years. I do not like taking my cards in and out of camera and risking corruption.

That's not something you have to worry about as long as you get in the habit of turning the camera off before inserting or removing a memory card. The cards and the slots they are used in are designed for thousands of insertions. In the 14 years I have been doing digital photography, I have never had a corrupted card due to putting it in and out of the camera.

If your time is important to you, taking the card out of the camera and using a card reader to transfer photos is far faster than transferring directly from the camera.
