Quick question.

To have the Lightroom plugin, do I have to install the normal version or is it possible to have the plugin also with the portable version?

So is it possible to use portable plugin with Lightroom or not? For example, portable Nik collection

Thank you.

A Google search for "Portable NIK" only gave me scam sites!

The only download you can trust is direct from DXO

https://nikcollection.dxo.com/

If you are referring to Lightroom v6.2 (Cloud based) as the  "portable version" then- No!

Lightroom does not support Plugins at all. Only Lightroom-Classic supports Plugins.

OTOH If you use Lightroom on a PC or Mac laptop (portable) then you may be able to install Nik software and use as standalone by Exporting images from Lightroom that you then [Open] in a Nik App.

All depending on the 'Plugin' software/App you intend to use.

Or install Lightroom-Classic on a laptop for use with plugins.
