Lightroom won't import my photo's straight from my SD card

Hi Guys,

So I have recently just switched from a PC to a Mac and have gone to import my photos from my SD card for the first time since the switch.

Everything was going fine until I pressed import and then I got a pop up saying "some import operations were not performed"

I haven't changed the way in which I am importing from before. Is this simply down to the fact that I have switched to a Mac and is there anything that can be done?

Please help me.

Thanks

Courtney

Your external drive is probably formats for Windows (NTFS) which a Mac can read from but NOT write to so you can not move or import files to the external.

Hi Courtney

Ensure that the destination panel is open on the right of the import dialog and that you have read & write permissions on the folder you are copying into. The full file path should be shown at the top.

If that makes no difference, launch Finder and go to Applications. Launch the Image Capture app and if your card is recognized copy the photos into a named folder or new folder. Then bring them into Lightroom using Import >> Add (rather than copy)
