Lightroom won't open in Mac

Question

Hi,When I try to launch Lightroom Classic it won't open. I updated my computer, updated Lightroom and restarted the computer. Still nothing. I've had this for years without any trouble and now I suddenly can't open it anymore.Anyone that can help? Thanks.

The most likely reasons are corrupt preferences or a corrupt catalog. Try resetting the preferences first. Delete them manually:

If that does not work, then move or rename your catalog folder, so Lightroom can't find it when it starts. It should ask you to locate it, or create a new catalog. Create a new catalog to see it Lightroom functions normally with it.
