Lightroom won’t open properly

I've been testing to log in to Lightroom classic on my MacBook since yesterday ana it won't open. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and I'm still having trouble. It keeps popping up saying I've been logged out and to log back in to continue, but it doesn't give me the log in screen to do so. I have 600 images that I need to cull, edit and deliver and I'm stuck. Has anyone else dealt with this successfully or have any suggestions? Thank you!

You need to log in at the CC app, not in Lightroom Classic. That's the '8' icon on its side in your menu bar.
