Lightroon Classic not displaying photos in Lightroom edited with AI masks when Synced to Lightroom

Since the update to Lightroom Classic 13, whenever I edit a photo in Lightroom Classic with an AI mask, e.g. person, background, background blur etc, and sync it to lightroom, the photo does not display in Lightroom with the Lightroom Classic edits at all.

Photos with non AI asking applied, e.g. object, brushes and linear gradients DO display with the appropriate edits in Lightroom when synced.

I have been on line with Adobe numerous times and they are useless and don't admit that there is an issue, even when I clearly show them my processes, both with AI masking and non AI masking applied and show them in Lightroom the relevant photos not displaying edits and displaying edits.

Is anyone else having this issue? This worked properly with AI edits applied in Lightroom Classic Ver 12.0.

I have updated to the latest versions of Lightroom Classic August 2024 update and Lightroom August 2024 update.

Can anyone help please?

Hey, @Ray27740156cb0b. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I've checked your account & case records.

According to the last System info you shared, here are a few things.

1 - Please update Lightroom Classic to the latest version, v13.5, via the Creative Cloud desktop app.

2 - The catalog is stored in the Creative Cloud File Sync folder.
C:\Users\rj73_\Creative Cloud Files Personal Account\Catalogues &

Please move your catalog to a local folder that does not sync to Creative Cloud or any other cloud storage service.

Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Web sync to Lightroom Web. Edit an image from Lightroom Classic, log in to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3uv2zCA), check for edits, and confirm if Lightroom Classic syncs properly.

Edit a different image on the Lightroom web and recheck the Lightroom Classic to see if the edit has been synced over to Lightroom Classic.

Also, while on Lightroom Web, look for the Sync Issues category near the Deleted section on the left part of the screen. If there are any Sync issues, ensure you have a backup of these images; you can clear them out & delete them from the deleted section.

You can also clear the Deleted Section & once you clear them out, let Lightroom Classic & Lightroom on the mobile run for a while & maybe overnight (for Classic), to let it resolve most of the issues.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hello Sameer, Thank you kindly for your response. This seems to have done the trick in moving the catalogue to a more local Drive. Thank you ever so kindly, you are a genius. No one else has had any idea. The folder you mentioned was the default folder set up when Lightroom was installed and was the folder always used so I am not sure as to why it stopped working with the LrC 13 update from 12. But all photos are now syncing and displaying correctly on web and mobile platforms, even with the AI edits. @mention
