Lightrrom hang out at start since new 14.2 version

Hello Adobe Communitity,

 

I am unable to open the Lightroom classic app since last update, it crashes at start up when opening my current collection.

 

Starting fresh with a new collection is oK.

 

Any suggestion?

I have found a solution. I did just let lightroom process for one hour. 

After that le interface was back. It's probably only due to the fact that my Catalog is 150K pictures rich and the new version is supposed to bring performance improvment to the catalogue... Note there is a huge penalty at first openin of a Catalogue!

Glad to hear you have it running now. I've never seen that delay (with new versions) on my catalog with 180,000 images referenced. I suspect some catalog repair was going on during that process.

I think the term you are talking about is the Lightroom Classic "Catalog".

 

Something like this happened to me recently. Very similar symptoms. It turned out that I was trying to load a corrupted catalog. I unzipped the most recent backup, renamed the bad catalog, the copied the unzipped backup to the Lightroom Classic folder and it started right up.

Thanks  for your time. Indeed I was speeking about the "Catalog".

 

I did try a backed-up catalogu, and still the same issue. Lightroom hangout and is unresponsive.
