Question

Ligthroom Classic not synching folders/subfolders

I'm having an issue with my Lightroom Catalog (LrC version v14.1.1) not recognizing new folders created under the folder structure.  I am on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra (IOS Sequoia 15.2) all files are running on an NAS.   In this example, I created a new folder and syncronized the folderr so LrC would reflect the change.  LrC will not reflect the change / recognize the 'test' folder no matter how many times I synchronize it.

Thoughts on what could be happening?

Is there a way to have LrC update the folder and subfolder structure realtime without having to synchronize the folders every time a change is made to files or folder structures?  Thanks in advance.

Are there any images in this 'Test' folder? Lightroom Classic won't import empty folders if you synchronize the parent folder.

Hi Johan, yes, I had 4-5 Raw Files that were in that folder.  Since then I rebuilt the Lightroom Catalog and it's all working well now.  Thanks for following up.

Synchronizing folders will not result in the files being imported into LrC if they have previously been imported into LrC. Could that be the case? If you try to import from that folder, are the photo thumbnails in the Import dialog box greyed out?

Thanks, yes, thought about that and tried importing that specific folder into the LrC Catalog.  Didn't work either.  I just deleted the catalog and I'm rebuilding it from scratch based on the folder tree to see if that fixes the issue.

A better way is needed.  All your edit work is the catalog file.

Sorry, disregard, posted in the wrong LrC community, it's not a CC issue.  Disregard and will post in the correct team.
