Linear gradient malfunctioning when holding shift key

In the latest version of LR classic (13.0.1), I'm experiencing issues when creating a linear (or radial) gradient mask while holding the shift key. From the moment I press the shift key the mouse pointer starts to hesitate. As soon as I release the shift key the mouse pointer operates fluent and fast again.

    It doesn't work on windows either

    Works for me on Mac Studio 13.4.1 with Lightroom Classic 13.0.1.
