How do I talk to a live person for help with mu Lightroom Classic Issue?

    Hi Rikk! Yes, you are correct. I'm just the sort of person that wants to pick up a phone and get someone on the line...which I will try to do from Axel Matt's post earlier. My problem is that I was in the process of finishing up editing and culling through over 1700 photos from an airshow...not editing all 1700 of course...but there were MANY!!! And then Lightroom froze. I was running version 11.5. When I closed it and restarted, it updated to version 12.0 and then whatever catalog I was in had to upgrade to the latest version and when it did, NONE of the photos were there...from the airshow or any other recent photo shoots. I went back to version 11.5 and tried to find the catalog and can't find it anywhere and then I went back to version 11.4.1 and tried the same thing with the same result. I cannot locate any catalog with those images in there at all. The only think=g I WAS able to locate was a back up copy of the DNG files but I don't know how to get those into Lightroom and I don't think any of the edits are there...but I don't know. I'm very frustrated as this is the second time this has happened to me recently and I have lost a LOT of time in editing! I'm running on a Macbook Pro with macOS Monterey version 12.6. I'm at a point where I just don't want to edit these all over again! Maybe you can help guide me in the right direction? Any help will be appreciated for sure!

    Perform a search, using your operating system's search feature, for all files on all disk(s) whose name ends with .LRCAT. One of these will be the catalog file you want.

     

    By the way, its a good idea for you to always know what folder your working catalog is stored in.
