LOCKED: A peculiar problem with ownership of Ligtroom 6.14

Hello,

I just bought (yesterday) a standalone Ligtroom 6.14. Price was great - from an on-line reseller - so was the service, in no time I had Lightroom up and running and updated.

Then I went to my account, and the Ligtroom was not there.

Which is curious, since I am signed into the Lightroom with my email, and it says my name.

I contacted Adobe support, and got no help beyond saying it's registered elsewhere, therefore shared and to contact the reseller.

Here are the 2 answers in to e-mails in 2 e-mails I got from the reseller:

The serial keys are already registered to Adobe themselves so all you need to do is activate the software using the serial key to receive the latest updates from Adobe when they get released

Unfortunately I have spoken to my supplier regarding this recently and they won’t do a transfer of license as they said it’s already registered with Adobe and it does state on the faq page that the keys are pre-registered with Adobe.

What can I do? The sofware is obviously shared, but works. But if someone in the future cancels the account, which I have zero control over, I will loose the Ligtroom.

Any experience, ideas? Does such thing as "preregistered but not activated" thing even exist?

Thank you

    Correct answer Just Shoot Me

Yes, I am just learning that, though by strangely funny way - I have a legal working software, registered who knows where, and nobody in Adobe (chat), or here can even understand my question, and /or clarify, all but you :-D Than you Just Shoot Me :-)

It is my opinion that they don't understand the question you are asking because what you are asking about doesn't exist.

No Adobe software sold to an End User is registered to Adobe. At least not sold directly by Adobe or one of Adobe's registered REAL re-sellers.

If you had purchased it from someplace like Amazon or B&H with a Digital download when you went to Adobe to register it the software would show under your Adobe ID. Not under Amazon's or B&H's ID. And you certainly would not of gotten that error that it was register to some other Adobe ID.

I don't understand this. Where did you go to get "my account"? Please be very specific.

I don't understand this. Does this mean someone else has registered your serial number? Or does it mean something else. Please be very specific.

I don't know how more specific I could possibly be.

    1) I have an account with Adobe for years, all Adobe software I buy is usually there. Not this time.

    2) Yes, exactly. They  - I imagine - probably have multiple PC licenses, and sell them to various peope - but I do not know that.

However, all is written in my question.

If you bought from someone else other than Adobe, your new Lightroom 6 should not be there, until you register it. It doesn't show up there automatically unless you buy from Adobe.

If you have bought a counterfeit serial number from some on-line reseller, I doubt there's anything Adobe is going to do about that.
